What’s Included
- Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight 20 gauge pump-action shotgun
- Additional 26" Ithaca Model 37 20-ga plain barrel, 2 3/4" chamber, fixed Modified choke with front bead sight
The Model 37 Featherlight is known for its bottom-loading and bottom-ejecting action, which keeps empties out of the shooter’s line of sight and works well for right- or left-handed users. This example uses the classic takedown system with a knurled magazine cap, allowing quick, secure barrel swaps in the field or at the bench. Capacity is 4+1 with 2 3/4-inch shells.
Both barrels are factory Roto Forged steel. The installed 26-inch vent-rib barrel has a fixed choke (Improved Cylinder) and an orange front bead for fast sighting. The included spare is a 26-inch plain barrel with a fixed Modified choke and a simple front bead, offering a versatile second pattern option.
The receiver is steel. The barrels are roll-stamped PROOF TESTED. Factory engraving includes an upland scene with a pointing dog and flushing birds on the left side, and a marsh/waterfowl scene on the right, adding classic visual appeal to this 1963-made gun from the United States.
Furniture is walnut throughout, with a pistol-grip stock featuring cut checkering, white/black line spacers, and a ventilated recoil pad. The matching walnut field-style forend has finger grooves for secure cycling. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
The pump-action operates with a trigger that has no disconnector (slam-fire), allowing the shooter to hold the trigger and fire with each full stroke of the action. Sight alignment is straightforward with the bead sighting system on both barrels.
