What’s Included
- Remington Model 341 .22 LR bolt-action rifle
The Model 341 was manufactured from 1936 to 1940 with an estimated production of about 131,600 units. This example reflects that era with correct factory roll marks including "REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y., MADE IN U.S.A." and "MODEL 341," along with patent numbers tied to its cartridge lifter system.
Feeding is via an under-barrel tubular magazine with a stated 15-round capacity. It uses a knurled inner-rod end cap and loads from a port near the muzzle. The patented cartridge lifter mechanism, with patent numbers 1,908,035; 1,913,840; and 1,924,592, is a defining feature of this model.
The 24 in steel barrel ends in a crowned muzzle. Sighting is straightforward and period-correct: a blade front in a barrel dovetail and an open rear sight with a stepped elevator for elevation adjustment.
Construction is all-steel for the barrel and receiver with a blued finish, complemented by a walnut stock. The stock has a straight comb and pistol grip profile and is uncheckered, with a length of pull measuring 13.5 in. A metal trigger guard completes the barreled action.
The Model 341 platform is also noted in period records for British War Department/Home Guard training purchases in early 1941, adding documented historical context to this pre-war .22 LR repeater.
