This is the legacy non-rail P229 configuration with a dustcover free of accessory rails. It is chambered in .40 S&W with a compact 3.9 in barrel and a 12+1 capacity using the included 12-round magazines.
The pistol features a stainless-steel slide over an aluminum-alloy frame, both wearing a full-coverage camouflage finish. Rear-only, slanted serrations provide purchase on the slide without adding bulk.
Controls and operation are classic P229: DA/SA with a decocker and an external hammer with a spur. Sighting is via contrast sights, with a dovetailed front and a square-notch rear.
Markings include "SIGARMS INC., EXETER NH" and "FRAME MADE IN GERMANY," reflecting a German-made frame imported by SIGARMS in Exeter, New Hampshire. The case sticker notes "229-40-CAMO," aligning with the model and finish.
Four steel magazines are included: two 12-round and two 10-round. At least one magazine is marked "Made in Italy," as noted. This setup supports the full 12+1 capacity with the standard magazines.
