Remington introduced the Model 760 Gamemaster in the early 1950s, and this example dates to 1953 with the desirable .300 Savage chambering (an early catalog option from 1952–1960). It feeds from a detachable 4-round box magazine for a total capacity of 4+1, pairing classic big-game performance with quick reloads.
The action uses dual action bars and a rotating multi-lug bolt that locks into a barrel extension, a robust design known for solid lockup. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and a one-piece scope base is already installed, complementing the factory iron sights: a ramped front blade and a barrel-mounted, elevator-adjustable rear sight.
Stock furniture is walnut, including a grooved fore-end and a pistol-grip buttstock. The buttstock is fitted with a ventilated recoil pad and a white-line spacer, and the length of pull measures 14.0 inches. Sling-swivel studs are installed for convenient carry in the field.
The rifle retains its traditional blued finish over a steel receiver. Markings include "Gamemaster MODEL 760" and "Remington" on the receiver, with the barrel stamped with the Remington Ilion address and ".300 SAV." This United States-made Gamemaster represents the 1950s era of Remington pump-action centerfire rifles.
