The TX22 Compact uses a striker-fired, blowback system with a single-action Taurus Performance Trigger System (PTS) and an integrated trigger safety. The polymer frame keeps weight to a minimum while providing a stable foundation for reliable rimfire operation.
Its 3.6-inch fixed barrel is alloy steel and threaded, making it suppressor-ready. A flush-style thread protector is installed to shield the threads when a muzzle device is not mounted.
The aluminum slide is hard-anodized and finished in a black-and-white U.S.-flag motif. Practical features include front and rear cocking serrations, an optic cut, and a mass-reduction window ahead of the ejection port to manage slide weight.
Sight alignment is straightforward with a fixed white-dot front sight and a simple rear notch. The T.O.R.O. micro-dot interface accepts optics using the Holosun K/RMSc footprint.
