Made in France and imported by C.A.I. Georgia, VT, this MAS Modèle 1949-56 was manufactured in 1962 and later arsenal-refurbished in 1982, as confirmed by the P82 receiver stamp. It features the integral left-side scope rail specific to the 49/56, a 20.7" barrel, and the 22 mm grenade-launching setup with folding ladder sight. It comes with three 10-round steel magazines and shows very good overall condition with an excellent, mirror-bright bore.

This Modèle 1949-56 retains the French military configuration with the ported combination muzzle device, 22 mm rifle-grenade spigot, and a folding ladder-type grenade sight. The receiver carries the P82 stamp indicating a 1982 arsenal refurbishment and the import marking reads MADE IN FRANCE – C.A.I. GEORGIA, VT.
The rifle uses a semi-automatic, direct gas-impingement operating system and a detachable 10-round magazine with last-round bolt hold-open. It includes a manual safety and an integral left-side scope rail on the receiver.
Sighting equipment consists of a protected post front and a receiver-top tangent/aperture rear sight with a sliding range scale, providing the standard setup for the 49/56. The barrel length is 20.7".
Furniture is hardwood, including an upper handguard with two cooling slots and a stock with a left-side sling bar and steel buttplate. The metal shows a matte grey phosphate/parkerized finish over a steel receiver. Length of pull measures 13.75. Serial prefix is "G."
