Built by Inland Mfg in 1944, this M1 Carbine represents WWII U.S. production with hallmark receiver markings: the heel is marked "INLAND DIV." and the receiver ring carries "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. 30 M1." Inland Division was the largest producer of M1 Carbines during the war.
The rifle retains a parkerized finish and an 18 in barrel. It uses the semi-automatic, gas-operated short-stroke piston system with a rotating bolt, paired here with a 30-round magazine for a 30+1 capacity.
Furniture details include a low-wood hardwood stock with an oval sling/oiler slot and a wood upper handguard featuring a single elongated ventilation slot. A stamped, checkered steel buttplate is fitted, and a narrow barrel band without bayonet lug is installed.
Sighting equipment is the late pattern adjustable aperture rear sight with an elevation slide and right-side windage knob, matched to a wing-protected front blade. An OD green web sling and a buttstock oiler are installed, and no import mark is observed.
