The FNX-45 Tactical is a full-size, .45 ACP, hammer-fired pistol with a DA/SA trigger system and fully ambidextrous controls, including the safety/decocker, slide stop, and magazine release. The ring-style external hammer and decocker provide flexible carry and administrative handling options.
This example is a factory NON-TB model with a 4.5-inch, cold hammer-forged, stainless steel barrel that is non-threaded and features a polished feed ramp. The stainless slide wears an FDE finish and is cut for optics, with a removable cover plate secured by two screws. Raised 3-dot iron sights provide a clear sight picture when running the slide-mounted optic.
The FDE polymer frame integrates an aggressive-checkered grip with interchangeable backstraps to fit different hand sizes. An integral three-slot MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail on the dustcover supports lights or lasers. The design traces to the FNP-45 program developed for the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol requirements.
