The Stealth Arms Platypus 17 is a full-size, Government-length 1911 built in the USA and configured to run Glock 17-pattern double-stack magazines. It stands out with a factory-milled RMRcc footprint, integral full-length Picatinny rail, and a bull barrel. This example is in very good shape and includes a 10-round magazine along with both the original case and a Stealth Arms-branded soft case.

Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The fiber optic insert from the front sight is missing. Minor superficial scratches and blemishes are present.

The Platypus 17 pairs a 1911 GOV configuration with Glock 17-pattern double-stack magazine compatibility and a stated 10+1 capacity. A flared magwell with SA marking and a textured magazine release support fast, consistent reloads.
The slide is factory-milled for the Trijicon RMRcc footprint with screw holes and features textured grasping panels. Iron sights are installed with a front post and rear notch.
The frame incorporates an integral, full-length Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover. Controls include a left-side manual thumb safety and a grip safety. A flat-faced, skeletonized trigger and skeletonized hammer round out the single-action control set.
A non-threaded bull barrel and a single-action, short-recoil tilting-barrel system deliver the Platypus operating characteristics. Machined scale/honeycomb texturing on the front strap, grip panels, and slide grasping areas provides a secure interface. This is a recent release from Stealth Arms and is made in the USA.
