The 6 in stainless steel barrel uses a full underlug, ventilated rib, and a recessed crown. Rifling is a 1:14 left-hand twist. The front sight is an interchangeable red/orange ramp secured by a set screw, paired with a fully adjustable rear sight for precise aiming.
Construction is all stainless steel with a semi-bright polished frame and polished stainless cylinder. Colt updated the Python with a reinforced frame and topstrap and modern stainless alloys. The reengineered action uses fewer internal parts while retaining double-action/single-action operation.
Controls and feel highlight a smooth, polished trigger and a wide, serrated spur hammer. The six-shot fluted cylinder includes a knurled ejector-rod tip. The frame carries the Colt Rampant Pony logo, underscoring factory originality.
