This rifle showcases extensive custom work. The hardwood stock is configured with a Monte Carlo comb and cheekpiece, relief-carved grip and fore-end panels, a contrasting fore-end tip with spacer, and decorative diamond inlays. Sling swivel studs are installed, and a Pachmayr White Line recoil pad with WHITE LINE and GUN WORKS markings is fitted for a finished sporting profile.
Metalwork and appointments include two engine-turned (jeweled) metal collars around the barrel and operating-rod area, with the rear collar incorporating a sling stud just ahead of the forend/gas-cylinder area; the forward collar near the muzzle is also engine-turned (jeweled) and lacks a sling stud. Several exposed small parts and collars display engine-turned (jeweled) accents. An engraved belly plate ahead of the trigger guard features a deer scene.
Sighting equipment pairs a non-G.I. ramped sporting front sight with the classic U.S.G.I.-pattern aperture rear sight with windage and elevation drums. The 21.5 inch barrel ends in a bright in-the-white crown.
Built on a Winchester receiver from the WWII era, this M1 retains the platform’s gas-operated, rotating-bolt system and 8-round en-bloc clip feeding. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
