The CSX E-Series pairs a lightweight aluminum-alloy frame with a stainless slide and 3.1 in stainless barrel; the slide and barrel feature an Armornite finish for surface protection, while the frame is anodized.
This model is recoil-operated, locked-breech, and single-action-only with an external spurred hammer. It features an ambidextrous manual thumb safety, an integral blade safety in the trigger, and ambidextrous slide stop levers. The magazine release is on the left side. It is capable of firing with the magazine removed, as it lacks a magazine-disconnect safety.
The slide is optics-ready and includes the OEM cover plate marked 'M4 THREADS' installed. OEM dovetailed iron sights are present: a white-dot front and a low-profile, drift-adjustable rear. The slide also incorporates front and rear cocking serrations and top anti-glare serrations for confident manipulation.
Double-column magazines support a stated 15+1 capacity. This example includes two 15-round magazines and one 12-round magazine, with a mix of extended-sleeve and pinky-rest baseplates observed. Aggressive molded/textured grip panels with the S-curve S&W motif enhance purchase. Note: the OEM rear sight and optic cover plate are provided and installed; mounting screws are not provided.
