What's Included
- EIG Four-Barrel Derringer .22 LR pistol
Italian-made in the 1960s by Fratelli Tanfoglio and imported by EIG (Miami, FL), this derringer bears Italian proof marks and ITALY country-of-origin markings. Its import occurred prior to the 1968 Gun Control Act small-pistol restrictions, which adds clear historical context to its place among EIG-imported handguns of the era.
The design uses four fixed barrels in a 2x2 cluster with a break-open loading system and a 4-round capacity. A sequential-fire internal rotating striker advances with each double-action-only trigger pull, discharging one barrel at a time.
Markings on the gun specify: "USE STANDARD VELOCITY CAL. 22 SHORT, LONG OR LONG RIFLE CARTRIDGES." Sighting is straightforward with a fixed front bead and no rear sight, consistent with this model’s compact derringer layout.
The exterior is bright nickel/chrome-plated, paired with cream-colored synthetic grip panels featuring checkered lower fields and EIG medallions. Serial numbering is applied to the right side of the barrel block and the underside of the butt. This model is commonly nicknamed the "Italian Brownie."
