This first-generation M&P40 full-size combines a striker-fired action with an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and a robust Melonite-treated, through-hardened slide and barrel. It features a 4.25 in stainless steel barrel, a polymer frame with a stainless-steel chassis, and an integral three-slot Picatinny rail. The pistol comes in excellent condition with 3-dot dovetailed sights and includes three 15-round magazines, a factory case, a manual, and two additional backstraps.

The M&P40 1.0 is a full-size, first-generation model chambered in .40 S&W with an ambidextrous manual thumb safety and a sear-deactivation lever. It uses a striker-fired system with a hinged trigger for a consistent pull.
The 4.25 in stainless steel barrel and the slide both receive a through-hardened Melonite treatment. The slide wears a black Melonite finish and features rear-only, fish-scale cocking serrations for confident manipulation.
Its polymer frame is built around a stainless-steel chassis. The M&P 1.0 pebble texture with S&W medallion provides traction, and the interchangeable palm-swell system allows you to adjust the grip with the included additional backstraps.
Sight alignment is handled by 3-dot dovetailed sights, with a white-dot front and a low-profile white-dot rear. An integral Picatinny accessory rail with three slots is molded into the dust cover for mounting compatible accessories.
Capacity is 15+1 with the included three 15-round steel double-stack magazines. This pistol is made in the United States and comes with its Smith & Wesson factory hard case and manual.
