Product Description

    Remington Autoloading Shotgun (Pre-Model 11) 12 Gauge, 28 in Full, 1909 Takedown

This 1909 Remington Autoloading Shotgun is an early, U.S.-made pre-Model 11 example featuring the left-side magazine cut-off and front-of-trigger safety. It carries the classic hump-back receiver with right-side ejection, a 28 in steel barrel stamped FULL, and a takedown configuration with a knurled magazine cap. The barrel bears the multi-line Remington address and Browning patents rollmark, and the gun feeds from a 4+1 tubular magazine.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Fair condition, showing extensive signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Specific Condition Notes: The original blued finish has aged to a gray-brown patina. The walnut furniture shows various handling marks and dings. A screw is missing from the receiver tang at the pistol grip.

    What's Included

    • Pachmayr Gun Works slip-on rubber recoil pad (installed)

This early pre-Model 11 configuration pairs the left-side magazine cut-off with a front-of-trigger safety lever, capturing the defining features of Remington's first-generation autoloading shotgun. The round, knurled bolt handle and hump-back receiver with right-side ejection complete the recognizable profile.

The 28 in steel barrel is fixed Full choke with no vent rib, marked FULL at the chamber junction, and topped with a single front bead. The barrel also carries the multi-line Remington address and Browning patents rollmark.

It is a takedown model with a knurled magazine cap, designed for straightforward transport and maintenance. The long-recoil action feeds from a 4+1 tubular magazine.

The smooth walnut fore-end and walnut semi-pistol-grip buttstock deliver the period-correct look and feel, with a 14.0 in length of pull. The receiver and barrel are finished in blued steel, consistent with its pre-WWI U.S. manufacture.
