The 30AW is part of the Marlin 336 family and this example is JM-marked North Haven production. It features a blued steel receiver with right-side ejection and a right-side loading gate. The full-length tubular magazine uses two barrel bands and offers a 6+1 capacity in .30-30.
The 20 in. barrel uses Marlin's Micro-Groove rifling. This barrel spec is paired with a 13.0 in. length of pull for a traditional full-size lever-action setup.
Factory-style iron sights include an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and a ramped post with bead front. The receiver is drilled and tapped for optics and this rifle carries a mounted Bushnell scope with a duplex/plex reticle on an installed base and rings. The front sight hood is not present.
The hardwood pistol-grip stock has pressed checkering and is matched to a hardwood fore-end. Additional details include a black composition buttplate with the Marlin logo, a gold-colored trigger, and a cross-bolt safety. The metal shows a blued barrel and receiver with the bolt left in-the-white (bright steel).
