Built on the proven 1911 platform, this full-size, single-action .45 ACP features a 5-inch barrel and traditional GI-pattern sighting system. The small GI-style front blade and small notch rear offer a period-correct profile that complements the overall Government-pattern design.
The color case-hardened steel frame pairs with a matte blued/black slide for a striking two-tone presentation. Factory scroll engraving is applied to the slide at the muzzle and rear, and the slide uses rear-only vertical serrations for a clean, classic look.
Controls follow the GI template, including a short-tang grip safety, arched mainspring housing, spur hammer, and a short solid trigger. Safety features include a manual thumb safety and grip safety, consistent with traditional 1911 operation.
Markings include CIP proof marks (CIP N), "Made in Italy" on the frame, and "Chiappa Firearms Dayton, OH" on the slide. The barrel hood is marked with the caliber and serial only; CIP proof marks are present on the frame, aligning with European proof standards.
White smooth-panel grips with "CD" medallions add contrast and brand identification. The pistol ships with one 8-round single-stack magazine to deliver an 8+1 capacity when topped off.
