The PX4 Storm's operating system uses a short-recoil rotating barrel paired with a DA/SA trigger and an external spurred hammer. This setup provides the familiar double-action first pull with subsequent single-action shots, alongside Beretta's ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker and a firing pin block.
The pistol is built on a black polymer frame with a black-finished slide and a 4 in steel barrel. Controls include a push-button, reversible magazine release to accommodate different shooters and carry preferences.
Sighting is via fixed 3-dot units, with both the front and rear sights dovetailed into the slide for serviceability. An integral accessory rail with a single cross-slot is molded into the dust cover for mounting compatible lights or accessories.
Country-of-origin markings read "GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY" along with a Beretta USA import mark. Polymer grip panels feature molded PX4 Storm branding and Beretta trident medallions, consistent with the model's full-size configuration.
