What’s Included
- Winchester Model 9422 .22 LR lever-action rifle
The rifle retains the classic 9422 layout with a standard-size lever loop and a 20.5-inch round Winchester Proof Steel barrel. Factory rollmarks include "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL," and both the barrel and receiver carry Winchester "WP" oval proofs. It was produced at Winchester’s New Haven, Connecticut plant during the 1970s.
Sighting equipment is traditional and user-friendly: a ramped front sight paired with a semi-buckhorn rear leaf on a step elevator. The forged steel receiver is grooved for 3/8-inch rimfire rings, allowing the use of standard tip-off rimfire mounts if desired.
The front-loading tubular magazine provides a 15-round capacity with .22 LR, and the rifle does not use a side loading gate. The lever action is paired with a 13.75-inch length of pull for familiar .22 lever-gun handling.
Furniture includes smooth walnut with a straight-grip stock and a matching walnut fore-end, secured by a single fore-end band. The butt is finished with a black checkered plastic buttplate bearing the Winchester logo. The left side of the receiver is personalized, engraved "DICK" with a smaller "D" below.
