The CDX-R7 LA Series action features a 4-lug bolt with an approximate 50-degree throw for short, smooth cycling. This example has a spiral-fluted bolt body and an oversized, diamond-textured bolt knob for positive manipulation. The receiver is 416 stainless steel and marked 'CDX-R7 LA SERIES,' with a visible cocking indicator and a right-side safety lever.
Barrel configuration is purpose-built: a 26 inch heavy-profile tube with longitudinal flutes, factory threading, and an installed muzzle brake. The barrel window is marked '.300 PRC' and 'Mfg: CADEX Inc., CA, 2023.' The bright, mirror-finish bore with sharp rifling aligns with the observed excellent bore condition.
The Cadex aluminum chassis combines a long, octagonal M-LOK forend with a skeletonized, fully adjustable rear module. Tool-less adjustments for cheek height and length of pull are provided, with a rubber buttpad for shoulder interface. Length of pull is set to 13.75 inches.
Topside, a Picatinny scope rail is installed on the receiver. The R7 long-action system follows a Remington 700 footprint and accepts CIP-length AICS-pattern magazines up to 3.850 inches.
