    What’s Included
    • Mauser AG Oberndorf Karabiner 98k rifle (8mm Mauser)

The receiver ring is marked 42 over 1940, identifying Mauser-Werke A.G., Oberndorf production for that year. The left receiver side is marked Mod.98, and the rifle features a turned-down bolt handle and a 23.6 in barrel. Capacity is 5+1.

German eagle acceptance stamps are present, including Waffenamt WaA655 on the receiver and rear sight base, with an additional WaA855 mark also noted. The rifle retains the K98k front band with bayonet lug. The front sight is a protected post in a banded base; a front sight hood is not installed. Sights are the correct tangent rear and front post arrangement.

The stock is hardwood with a full-length profile and matching wood handguard. Classic K98k stock features include a left-side sling slot, takedown disc, crossbolt, and a flat steel buttplate. There is a channel for the cleaning rod. The metal shows a blued finish over a steel receiver.

Collector details include matching serials: the receiver is numbered 276 y, while the trigger guard and floorplate are numbered 276 without the letter suffix. The action is the standard K98 bolt-action with a flag safety. Length of pull measures 13.0 in. Built in Germany during the WWII era, this example represents the Karabiner 98 platform from a principal wartime manufacturer.
