    • Percussion nipple wrench (L-shaped tool)

Built by F.lli Pietta as a faithful reproduction, this 1851 Navy follows the open-top Colt-style layout with the barrel and frame joined by a transverse wedge and screw. It uses an under-barrel loading lever with a front latch, a six-shot non-fluted cylinder, and fixed sights consisting of a small brass front post and a hammer-notch rear.

The steel frame, barrel flats, backstrap, and hammer sides feature scroll engraving over a bright white-metal finish. The cylinder is finished in a uniform gold tone and notably does not carry the traditional naval battle roll scene, giving the revolver a clean, distinctive appearance. A later-style round trigger guard complements the frame profile.

Ergonomics and visual detail are enhanced by two-piece smooth white grip panels secured by a through-bolt with brass escutcheons. Italian black-powder proof marks are present, including 'PN' and a star, along with factory markings: 'F.LLI PIETTA – MADE IN ITALY' and the Pietta 'FAP' diamond logo. The serial number is present on the frame.

Chambered in .44 and manufactured in 2000 in Italy, this single-action percussion revolver is a well-executed, engraved example with a 7.375 inch octagonal barrel and a six-round cylinder. Its finish, markings, and configuration present a cohesive and attractive reproduction suitable for display or black powder enthusiasts.
