The Model 29-2 is an N-frame .44 Magnum with a six-shot fluted cylinder and steel construction. This example carries the correct "MOD. 29-2" marking on the yoke cut and was produced in 1977 within the N-prefix serial range in the United States.
It wears the classic high-polish blued finish over a 6.5 inch pinned barrel with a ribbed top and an ejector-rod shroud. Chambers are recessed (counterbored), delivering the desirable PINNED & RECESSED configuration synonymous with 1970s S&W production.
Sights are fully adjustable iron: a ramped front sight with an orange insert paired to a micrometer-click adjustable rear. The double-action/single-action mechanism is complemented by a wide, case-colored trigger and a wide, case-colored target hammer with a checkered spur.
