This rifle began life as a Birmingham Small Arms Company Short Magazine Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk III* dated 1915 and was later converted for sporting use. It keeps the fast-cycling, cock-on-closing action that made the SMLE famous, while adding a clean sporter fore-end with an ebony-style tip and brass spacer. Original military markings remain clear, now joined by Birmingham commercial proofs that validate its civilian service. The result is a full-size, Great War-era Enfield that blends historical pedigree with practical hunting features.

The 25.2-inch barrel keeps its original length, preserving the rifle’s signature balance and velocity in .303 British. A commercial ramp front sight with a drift-adjustable blade replaces the military protector, streamlining the profile for field carry.
