The Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited (BSA) was founded in the United Kingdom in 1861 by fourteen Birmingham gunsmiths of the Birmingham Small Arms Trade Association. The original company became defunct in 1973, and the BSA Guns name continues as BSA Guns (UK) Ltd producing air rifles in Birmingham under Gamo ownership. BSA’s enduring legacy is its production of Lee–Enfield pattern British service rifles.
