Produced in 1943, this Smith Corona Model 03-A3 is a U.S. military bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. Refurbished by U.S. Ordnance at Rock Island Arsenal after World War II, it retains the original 24-inch parkerized barrel, walnut stock, and 5-round internal magazine. Light handling marks and a clean, serviceable bore make this rifle a solid example for shooters and collectors who value wartime production backed by arsenal maintenance.

Bore Overall Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

    What’s Included

    • Smith Corona Model 03-A3 bolt-action rifle

Smith Corona produced the 03-A3 under wartime contract, and its SC-marked components are sought after by collectors. This rifle falls within that 1943 production block, reflecting the final refinement of the M1903 series.

The parkerized finish offers corrosion resistance favored by armorers, and on this example it shows only mild wear consistent with careful storage and arsenal refurbishment.

The walnut stock retains crisp lines and correct arsenal markings. A 12.75-inch length of pull matches original G.I. dimensions, and only minor surface marks are present.

Sighting is provided by the standard front blade paired with the fully adjustable rear aperture, allowing quick windage and elevation changes typical of the 03-A3 design.
