What’s Included
- Waffenwerke Brünn AG Karabiner 98k bolt-action rifle
This rifle comes from the 1943 H-block serial range, confirming its mid-war production at the Brünn factory known by the “dot” code. The mix of stamped bands and floorplate with a milled trigger guard illustrates the transitional manufacturing methods Germany adopted as resources tightened.
The 24-inch barrel is fitted with an inverted-V front sight protected by pressed-steel ears and a tangent rear sight graduated from 100 to 2,000 meters, maintaining the classic 98k sighting system sought after by WWII collectors.
The hardwood stock features the correct takedown disc, sling slot, and a cupped steel buttplate. A full-length cleaning-rod channel is present, though the rod itself is no longer included. The custom carved emblem on the left buttstock, likely applied after capture, gives the piece unique post-service character.
Original hot salt bluing remains on the receiver and barrel, while Waffenamt eagle/63 proofs are still legible—important marks that authenticate Brünn production and wartime inspection.
