What's Included
- Underwood M1 Carbine rifle
- 1x 15-round steel-bodied M1 Carbine magazine (as shown)
Made by Underwood in the United States during WWII, this M1 Carbine retains its correct 18 inch barrel and short-stroke gas tappet system. The receiver ring is marked "U.S. CARBINE / CAL. .30 M1.", and the metal shows a gray-green parkerized/phosphate finish consistent with the period.
Key configuration details include a flat-top bolt, a two-rivet wooden top handguard, and a barrel band with sling swivel and no bayonet lug. The gas system is visible under the handguard, and the rifle feeds from a detachable box magazine with a 15+1 capacity.
The sights are the classic M1 Carbine iron set: a protected blade front with dual ears and an adjustable ladder rear with windage knob and a 100-300 yard scale. These provide a precise and period-correct sighting arrangement.
The full-length hardwood stock has an oil finish, an I-cut sling/oiler slot, and a steel checkered buttplate. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches. A single stamped letter "B" is present below the serial on the recoil-plate area.
