What’s Included
- Izhevsk Mosin-Nagant Model 1891/30 bolt-action rifle
Produced at the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant in 1942, this round-receiver 91/30 reflects wartime manufacture and service history. It is made in Russia and bears the triangular Izhevsk arsenal crest on the barrel shank along with triangular inspection marks and other period inspector stamps.
The rifle is chambered in 7.62x54R and uses a bolt-action system with the Mosin-Nagant interrupter/ejector. It feeds from a fixed internal 5-round magazine. The straight bolt handle retains an in-the-white finish consistent with service rifles of the era.
Sighting equipment includes a hooded post front on a dovetailed base and a rear tangent leaf graduated to 2,000 meters. The hardwood stock is full-length with a separate wood upper handguard, sling slots with metal liners, and a steel buttplate. Two spring-retained barrel bands secure the handguard and fore-end.
Hardware and configuration details include a round receiver shank, a bayonet lug for a socket bayonet, and a cleaning-rod channel (rod not shown). Markings include the Izhevsk crest, triangular inspection stamps, an inspector’s stamp including a triangle and "I," and a Cyrillic serial prefix "ВБ" on the barrel shank. The bolt, floorplate, and buttplate have non-matching serial numbers, consistent with arsenal maintenance and service.
