What's Included
- Tula Mosin–Nagant Model 1891 Dragoon sporterized bolt-action rifle (7.62x54R)
Produced at Tula in 1923, this Dragoon rifle uses the desirable hexagonal receiver and carries the Tula 1st State Arms Factory crest and Cyrillic legend on the receiver shank, with additional proof and inspection marks on the receiver flat. It represents an interwar Soviet production example that later received practical sporting updates.
The barrel has been professionally shortened to 22 inches and turned unstepped ahead of the rear sight. Sighting is via the original tangent rear on the barrel paired with a non-factory banded ramp front post. The bayonet lug and front sight hood are not present, and the upper handguard and barrel bands were deleted during the sporterization.
The hardwood stock was cut to a sporter profile and provides a length of pull of 13.25 inches. It retains oval sling slots with escutcheons and the cleaning-rod channel in the fore-end, while omitting the upper handguard for a streamlined configuration.
Mechanically, it is a bolt-action, cock-on-open system with a straight bolt handle and round knob. It is chambered in 7.62x54R and feeds from a fixed internal 5-round magazine. Serial numbers are mismatched on the bolt, buttplate, and magazine floorplate.
