What’s Included
- Nambu Type 94 pistol (8x22mm Nambu)
- One 6-round steel single-stack Type 94 Nambu magazine with long witness slot
The Type 94 uses a semi-automatic, short-recoil, locked-breech system with an internal hammer and a recoil spring located around the barrel. It feeds from a single-stack 6+1 magazine and employs a rotating safety lever. The magazine release is a button at the rear of the trigger guard.
Construction is all steel with a blued finish on the frame and slide. It features a compact 3.78" barrel, fixed front blade and rear notch sights, and checkered black synthetic grips. The slide has rear serrations and a removable breechblock retained by a transverse cross-pin.
Markings include a Showa date code "18.1" on the frame, inspector/manufacturer symbols on the left side, and Japanese characters on the right side. Production was by Chuo Kogyo under the supervision of the Nagoya Army Arsenal during the WWII era.
Notable design elements include the exposed sear bar along the left side; when cocked and off-safe, pressing the sear bar will discharge the pistol. There is no independent slide stop (the slide is held open by the magazine follower), and a lanyard loop is fitted at the heel.
