Built at UM Gramsh, this Albanian SKS follows the gas-operated, long-stroke piston system with a tilting-bolt lockup and a steel receiver. It uses a fixed 10-round internal magazine, providing a 10+1 capacity when topped off.
Albanian-pattern details are present throughout: the full-length ventilated wooden handguard with three slots per side, the distinctive swept/hooked charging handle, and a light-colored hardwood stock. The stock features elongated oval grasping grooves, a left-side rear sling swivel, and a steel buttplate with dual trap doors.
Sighting equipment includes a tangent-leaf rear sight with a sliding elevation ramp. The front sight base with protective ears is present, but the front sight post and elevation drum are not installed. A bayonet lug with a knurled locking collar is fitted, and the under-barrel folding blade bayonet is installed. The full-length cleaning rod is not present.
This rifle was made in Albania in 1971 and reflects the country-specific configuration produced by Uzinë Mekanike Gramsh. As noted, the parts are non-matching between the receiver and the magazine/trigger guard, and no grenade-launcher hardware is observed.
