Uzinë Mekanike Gramsh is an Albanian state arms plant founded in 1962 by the Government of the People's Republic of Albania. Its small-arms production wound down in the 1990s, and its capacities have since been reorganized under the state defense company KAYO rather than marketed as UM Gramsh. The plant’s enduring legacy is the Albanian ASh-series AK-pattern service rifles produced for the national military.
