Presenting the Izhevsk Arsenal M91/30 Mosin-Nagant Ex-Sniper Bolt Action Rifle - a sterling piece of firearm history, and a classic example of mid-century Russian military precision. Manufactured in 1944 at the height of World War II, this rifle is in very good condition, perfectly operational and showing only light signs of prior handling or usage. The sale includes an ODG Webbed Mosin sling with dog collars.
The M91/30 model features a blued finish, a bolt-action feeding system, and a 5-round internal magazine. Its 28.75" long barrel is chambered for 7.62x54R caliber cartridges, a powerful round extensively used by Russian forces. The rifle sports a well-maintained post-war stained arctic birch wood stock with fullered handguard and metal buttplate. The stock shows minor dents and scratches and minor flaking of the shellac coating, but these are typical signs of use and do not affect the rifle's performance. The receiver and barrel also show minor finish wear.
This Ex-Sniper variant is particularly interesting. Four weld plugs are visible inside and outside the left side of the receiver, indicating this was an Ex-PU sniper. The scope serial number on the left side of the barrel shank has been painted over, further confirming its Ex-Sniper status. The bore condition is good, with shiny, visible, undamaged rifling and minor fouling. This is a force-matched refurb, with refurbishment markings on the right side of the buttstock.
The magazine floorplate serial number has been crossed out and matched with the receiver.
By owning this Izhevsk Arsenal M91/30 Mosin-Nagant Ex-Sniper, you are not merely purchasing a reliable firearm, but also a piece of world history. This rifle is a fantastic acquisition for collectors, sport shooters, and vintage military firearm enthusiasts who value both historical significance and performance-driven features. Don't miss out on this opportunity to add a piece of World War II history to your collection.
