When the estate includes a safe
Firearm Estate Services for Attorneys, Trustees, and Fiduciaries
Firearms are the one common estate asset that can create personal liability for the professional handling them. We take that off your desk: documented valuations, compliant transfers under our federal firearms license, nationwide pickup, and a written record built for the case file.

Mishandling a firearm transfer is not a paperwork error
Firearm transfers are federally regulated, and the rules don't bend for probate. Heirs may live in states where specific items can't follow them. An NFA item discovered mid-administration has its own registry, its own transfer process, and no tolerance for improvisation. Beneficiaries challenge sale prices, and "the local shop gave us a number" is a thin answer in front of a judge.
Most professionals handle this once every few years. We handle it every day, and we built this service so you can hand it off completely.
Documentation first, liquidation second.
Written valuations. Everything the estate submits is appraised by people who have priced more than 250,000 guns, and comes back as a written offer grounded in comparable sales. Our auction results are public, which makes the numbers defensible to beneficiaries and to the court.
Compliant transfers, start to finish. Every purchase runs under our federal firearms license, verifiable in the ATF's database. As a Class III dealer, we also handle suppressors, short-barrel rifles, and machine guns that surface during administration, correctly and without drama.
Nationwide logistics. For collections, our people come to the property to do inventory, pack, and transport. For smaller estates, prepaid insured shipping. Heirs can be in three different states; the firearms only need to be in one.
A record the file can hold. What was submitted, what sold, what it paid, and where the money went. One document answers the questions before anyone asks them.
Three steps from inventory to closed.
Send what you have. Photos and any inventory list, however rough. We identify what the estate is holding, including anything that needs special handling.
Receive the written valuation. A written offer for the file, free, with both paths available: immediate cash purchase, or consignment where the estate would rather let auction set the price. The estate chooses, and we send the offer type selected.
Liquidate on the estate's timeline. Cash purchases pay the day items arrive. Consignments pay after the auction sells. Records follow automatically either way.

A vendor you can put your name behind.
We've paid gun owners and estates more than $40 million. Federally licensed since 2019, A+ rated with the BBB, 4.9 stars across 2,900+ Google reviews, and a public GunBroker feedback record across 85,000+ auctions.
Your client can verify every one of those claims independently, which is precisely the point: recommending us should never require them to take anything on faith.

Figures reflect purchases across FirearmLand and our sister company Cash for Arms: one team, one federal firearms license.
Add us to your process once. Use us on every estate after.
Most professionals who send us one estate send us the next one. We provide a client-ready one-page summary of the service for your intake materials, and the same dedicated contact handles your matters every time, so the second engagement starts faster than the first.
Firearm Estate FAQs
Are your valuations defensible in probate?
They're written, grounded in comparable sales, and our auction results are publicly visible. The numbers can be checked against real transactions rather than taken on trust.
What does the valuation cost the estate?
Nothing. We're compensated as the buyer or consignor of the items the estate chooses to sell. The valuation is free and carries no obligation to sell anything.
An NFA item turned up. What now?
Stop and send us photos before anything is moved or transferred. We're a Class III dealer, we handle these routinely, and we'll lay out the correct next step for the specific item and its registration status.
The heirs are in different states.
Common, and workable. We collect the firearms where they are, and payment follows the estate's instructions. No heir needs to take possession of anything they can't legally hold.
How fast can this move?
Valuations typically come back quickly after we receive photos. Cash purchases pay the day items arrive. If the court or family needs it slower, it goes slower; the timeline belongs to the estate.
Can beneficiaries keep some items?
Yes. Tell us what the estate is keeping before we quote, and the offer covers exactly what's being sold, with the record noting what was retained.
The safe is the estate's problem. It doesn't have to be yours.
Send the inventory, get the documented valuation, and hand the rest to a licensed counterparty built for it.
