Our consignments sell for an average of 13% above the market price for comparable guns, depending on the bidders each auction draws. On a $2,000 gun, that's about $260 more in your pocket.
Part of the reason is that we charge buyers no premium. Most auction houses add 15–25% to the hammer price. Bidders know it, so a buyer with $5,000 to spend bids about $4,150. Here he bids the whole $5,000, and your share is calculated from the larger number.

Retouched photos have taught buyers to assume every gun looks worse in person, and they bid accordingly. Not one pixel of ours is retouched. What a bidder sees is what arrives, and that confidence lands in your final price.
Buyers bid harder when they know they won't wait weeks for the gun. We take every payment method including checks and money orders. When a buyer clears payment and FFL details by 3 PM Eastern on a weekday, the gun usually leaves that afternoon. Fewer obstacles means more bidders, and more bidders means more money for you.
How to sell a custom or rare gun

A custom long-range rifle with a premium action, a hand-lapped barrel, and years of careful money in the build has one pricing problem: nothing exactly like it has sold recently, so any cash offer has to price it conservatively.

How do I consign my gun?
It starts with a free, no-obligation valuation. If you accept, we send a prepaid shipping label. You can drop the package off yourself or have the carrier collect it from your door at no cost to you. Once your gun arrives, we inspect it, photograph it in our studio, and list it as a no-reserve auction. Most consignments sell within 30 days of receipt, and payment follows the sale in the method you choose.
What does consignment cost?

How is 13% above market possible?
Presentation and audience do it. Studio photos buyers trust, descriptions that answer a serious buyer's questions before they ask, and a national bidder pool instead of the buyers within driving distance. Confident buyers bid higher. The sold listings are public if you want to verify.
How fast do I get paid?
Your gun is typically listed within 5 days of arrival, most consignments sell within 30 days of receipt, and payment follows the sale.
Doesn't a penny start mean my gun could sell for a penny?
In practice it doesn't, because the penny start is what draws the crowd. A reserve tells most bidders not to bother, so fewer people compete. Starting at a penny gets everyone in, and the bidding sets the price. That's why no-reserve auctions finish higher on average, not lower.
What if my gun doesn't sell?
All of our auctions sell. Every consignment runs as a no-reserve auction, which means there's no minimum price blocking a sale and every listing ends with a winning bidder. If a winning bidder ever fails to pay, we buy the gun from you outright rather than leaving you to start over.
Can I pull my gun off auction after it's listed?
Yes, and what happens next depends on why. If you want a correction made or a detail added, we pull the listing, make the edit, and relist it at no charge. If you decide you would rather take cash, we price the gun and send you a cash offer. And if you simply want it back, we end the auction and ship it to an FFL of your choosing for you to collect.
Is consignment right for a common gun?
It's your call. On common guns with plenty of sales comps, cash offers already track the market closely, so many sellers choose cash for speed. Sellers usually reserve consignment for collectible, rare, high-value, and custom pieces, where an auction can find bidders a cash offer can't.
Can I consign some guns and take cash for others?
Yes. That's the normal way collections move through here: cash for the everyday guns, consignment for the pieces you'd rather send to auction. You choose per gun, and we send the offer types you pick.
What about my suppressor or SBR?
We're a Class III dealer and we buy NFA items outright, which is usually the simpler path for the seller. See the NFA firearms page for how those sales work.
How do I ship my gun to you, and is it legal?
Yes, from all 50 states: you're shipping to a federally licensed dealer, and our prepaid label follows federal carrier rules. We send the label and handle every carrier requirement, and you can either drop the package off or have the carrier collect it from your door at no cost.
What if my gun is lost or damaged in shipping?
We pay you its full estimated value. If a carrier loses or damages a consignment in transit, we investigate formally, and once that's done you're paid what the gun was worth. You aren't left chasing a claim with the carrier.
What comes out before the split?
Two things: the auction platform fee of 3.5% and $30 for shipping. On a $3,000 sale that's $135, leaving $2,865 in net proceeds, and your 88% is calculated from that.
