Photograph each gun right where it sits. Both sides if you can, any writing on the barrel or the box if it's readable. Don't clean anything, don't take anything apart, and if you're not comfortable handling them, don't. Photograph them where they lie.

"What if there's something unusual in there?"
Sometimes there is: a suppressor, something short-barreled, something with a tax stamp in an envelope. Don't rearrange anything. We're a Class III dealer. We handle these items routinely and we'll tell you exactly what the next step is, calmly and correctly.
"What if something's loaded?"
If you're unsure, leave it exactly where it is and tell us. You never have to handle anything you don't want to. For larger collections, our people come to you and do all of the handling, packing, and transport themselves.
"How do we keep it fair between the heirs?"

No. It describes most of the families we help. Photos are enough for us to identify what you have; if a detail matters, we'll ask you for it in plain English.
Is it legal for me to sell my father's guns?
It's legal for you to sell your father's guns in all 50 states, whether you're the executor selling for the estate or an heir selling guns that have already passed to you. We'll ask a few simple questions up front and walk you through anything your state requires before a single thing ships.
What if we find a suppressor, or something without paperwork?
Stop there and tell us. We're a Class III dealer and we handle NFA items routinely. We'll identify what it is from your photos and lay out the correct next step. No guessing, no risk taken on your part.
There are several heirs. How does everyone know it was fair?
You'll have one written offer covering every gun, with a record of everything it includes. Executors file it, siblings read it, and the record answers the questions before they're asked.
Do we have to sell everything?
