Introducing the world-renowned rifle from the renowned Izhevsk Arsenal, the M91/30 Mosin-Nagant. This beautifully preserved piece of history is in good condition and perfect working order, despite showing some signs of prior use and handling. The bore condition is excellent, and the action is bolt-action with a 5rd capacity. The 29" barrel is blued and the stock/grips are made of shella-coated stained Russian Arctic birch wood with a fullered handguard and a metal buttplate. The sights/optic features include a rear adjustable leaf U notch and a front adjustable ring/post.
The sale includes a M91/30 webbed sling and a cleaning kit with pouch.
Manufactured in 1943, this piece was produced in Russia at the Izhevsk Arsenal and is a variant of the original Mosin-Nagant model designed in 1891. It was extensively utilized by the Red Army during World War II, and its longer barrel and improved sights set it apart from its predecessors. The wood stock behind the rear barrel band is spliced, and the metal has been painted black over the original bluing. The buttplate and bolt have been force-matched. Despite minor shellac flaking on the wood stock and some finish wear on the receiver and barrel near the front sight assembly, the wood grain still displays its beautiful original luster.
The rifle has a functional trigger, although it does exhibit some unusual play.
More than just a firearm, the Izhevsk Arsenal M91/30 Mosin-Nagant is a significant piece of military history. Its blued finish adds a vintage look that highlights its authenticity, while its rugged durability, pinpoint accuracy, and robust design make it an appealing addition to any collection. When you own this rifle, you are not just buying a high-quality, fully functional firearm, but also a tangible piece of the past. Don't miss the opportunity to own this piece of history.
