FN’s cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel measures 16.5 inches, balancing maneuverability with full-length 7.62 NATO performance. The barrel is free-floated inside the aluminum monolithic upper, helping retain accuracy during sustained fire.
The short-stroke gas piston system runs clean and cool, reducing fouling in the bolt carrier group and supporting reliable function with a wide range of ammunition. The non-reciprocating, side-folding charging handle can be swapped to either side for adaptable handling.
Factory flip-up front and rear iron sights provide robust backups to any optic. When folded, they sit low enough to clear most scopes and red dots, preserving the rifle’s streamlined profile.
