The Extreme Comp stands out for its factory-machined 3-port compensator, which is cut directly into the stainless barrel and slide for a seamless profile. The front sight is dovetailed into the compensator, keeping the sight radius full length while reducing muzzle flip.
Both frame and slide are forged from stainless steel and finished in SIG’s tough Nitron coating for corrosion resistance and a uniform matte black look. An external extractor ensures reliable ejection, and front and rear cocking serrations give positive purchase during slide manipulations.
Controls are pure 1911—single-action trigger, extended thumb safety, and grip safety—enhanced with a flat-faced, skeletonized aluminum trigger tuned for a crisp break. A commander-style skeletonized hammer speeds lock time.
The 25 lpi checkered front strap and mainspring housing, combined with aggressive black/grey G-10 piranha grips, keep the pistol locked in the hand under rapid fire. A Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover accommodates lights or lasers for duty or defensive use.
