Springfield Armory Echelon 4.5 F 9mm – Optics-Ready, Fully Ambidextrous, Modular Duty Pistol
The Springfield Armory Echelon 4.5 F delivers a modern, duty-grade 9mm platform with a serialized stainless-steel chassis that lets you swap grip modules without a gunsmith. Its optics-ready Variable Interface System accepts more than 30 popular micro-red-dot footprints without adapter plates, while fully ambidextrous controls make it immediately usable by right- or left-handed shooters. A hammer-forged barrel, Melonite-treated slide, and tritium U-Dot sights round out a package that several U.S. agencies have already adopted for service use.

Springfield’s Variable Interface System machines four locating pins directly into the slide, positioning optics low without plates or extra screws. This pistol can mount more than 30 different micro-red-dot footprints, giving you optic freedom out of the box.
A hammer-forged stainless-steel barrel with a 1:10 RH twist and Melonite treatment resists corrosion and wear, while the flat-faced trigger with integral safety blade provides a consistent striker-fired break.
Fully ambidextrous slide-stop levers and a reversible magazine release meet modern duty requirements and simplify manual of arms for either hand. Wrap-around stippled polymer grip texturing ensures solid control in all conditions.
Tritium U-Dot sights—featuring a photoluminescent front ring and dovetailed U-notch rear—offer fast, low-light target acquisition even if you choose to forgo an optic.
