Built on forged 7075-T6 upper and lower receivers, the Sport II OR keeps weight down while maintaining strength. The hard-coat anodized finish offers additional durability and matches the carbine’s matte-black aesthetic.
The 16-inch, 4140 steel barrel features a 1:9-inch right-hand twist and a salt-bath nitrocarburized Armornite treatment inside and out for superior wear and corrosion resistance. A 1/2x28 threaded muzzle lets you attach flash hiders, brakes, or suppressor mounts as desired.
S&W equips this variant with a low-profile railed gas block and folding front sight, leaving the full-length receiver rail open for optics. A polymer two-piece handguard keeps the barrel free-floating off the support hand, and the chromed firing pin enhances reliability.
The previous owner added a Magpul MOE pistol grip for improved ergonomics and installed a Magpul rubber Ranger Plate on the included magazine for faster reloads. The six-position collapsible stock adjusts quickly to different shooters or gear.
