The Echelon 4.0C centers on a removable Central Operating Group chassis that carries the serial number, allowing straightforward swaps between grip modules or future frames without an FFL transfer. Its compact grip accepts both 15- and 18-round magazines while retaining a 1913 three-slot accessory rail for lights or lasers.
A 4.78-inch hammer-forged barrel is threaded 1/2-28 for common 9 mm suppressors and sports a deep-black Melonite treatment matched to the slide. Both barrel and slide are surface-hardened to more than 68 HRC for extended service life.
Springfield’s Variable Interface System (VIS) eliminates plates by allowing direct, centered mounting of dozens of popular red-dot footprints. Forward and rear slide serrations offer positive purchase, and fully ambidextrous slide-lock levers pair with a reversible magazine release for true left- or right-hand use.
The flat-faced trigger integrates a safety blade for a consistent break, and the tritium 3-dot steel sights give instant sight acquisition in any lighting. Factory dimensions come in at 8 in overall length, 5.125 in height, 1.2 in width, and 25 oz unloaded.
