This Sport-series M&P15-22 features the 2016-introduced slim polymer handguard with M-LOK slots at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, allowing easy attachment of lights, bipods, or additional grips. The continuous Picatinny top rail aligns the receiver and handguard for seamless optic mounting.
The 16-inch carbon-steel barrel is Armornite-treated for corrosion resistance and ends in a 1/2-28-threaded muzzle capped with an A2 flash suppressor. The 1:15 RH twist reliably stabilizes common .22 LR bullet weights.
Controls mirror a standard AR-15: two-position selector, bolt catch, magazine release, and charging handle. The polymer receiver set reduces weight without sacrificing compatibility; most AR-15 stocks, grips, and trigger groups will interchange.
