FN FNX-40 .40 S&W DA/SA Pistol with Stainless Slide – 4" Barrel, 14+1 Capacity, Three Magazines, Case & Holster
The FNX-40 pairs a cold-hammer-forged 4-inch stainless barrel with a matching stainless slide and fully ambidextrous controls, creating a versatile full-size .40 S&W sidearm. Now discontinued, this double-action/single-action pistol stands out for its rare modern service-pistol configuration, low bore axis, and durable polymer frame with replaceable steel slide rails. The FNX-40’s double-action/single-action trigger gives shooters a long, deliberate first pull followed by crisp single-action follow-up shots. An ambidextrous manual safety/decocker, slide stop, and magazine release make operation intuitive for both right- and left-handed users.
Its stainless slide features front and rear cocking serrations and an external extractor for positive handling and reliable ejection. The dovetailed three-dot combat sights offer a clear sight picture, and the loaded-chamber indicator provides quick visual status.
The 4-inch cold-hammer-forged stainless barrel includes a polished feed ramp for smooth cycling with a variety of .40 S&W loads. Replaceable steel slide rail inserts in the polymer frame enhance durability, while the low bore axis helps manage recoil.
A MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail on the dust cover accepts lights or lasers, broadening the pistol’s defensive and duty potential. As a discontinued model, the FNX-40 offers collectors and shooters an uncommon DA/SA alternative in the .40 S&W market.
