The Romanian-made Micro Draco is one of the shortest AK-pattern firearms ever imported, packing the classic 7.62x39 long-stroke gas system into a compact 6.25-inch-barreled package. Built by Cugir on a stamped steel receiver and imported by Century Arms, this pistol delivers true AK heritage in a format that is easy to transport, store, and customize.

At just 14.5 inches overall length and 4.85 pounds unloaded, the Micro Draco is currently the smallest commercially imported AK platform that still retains the original long-stroke piston group. The shortened gas system is paired with a hard chrome-lined, 6.25-inch barrel that is threaded 14×1 LH for use with standard AK muzzle devices or suppressor adapters.
The stamped steel receiver wears a durable black phosphate/paint-over-parkerized finish and carries Romanian import markings along with the “MICRO DRACO” model designation. A welded rear sight notch on the dust cover and a drift- and elevation-adjustable front post provide rugged iron sight capability.
Furniture consists of a laminated hardwood dong-style fore-end and a black polymer AK pistol grip, keeping weight down while maintaining traditional AK ergonomics. The pistol uses the familiar AK safety/selector lever and accepts standard Romanian AKM pattern components, making it a popular host for brace or SBR conversions.
Produced in 2022 (serial prefix ROA), this example comes with both a standard-length 30-round and an extended 40-round magazine, giving you flexibility right out of the box.
