H&R Model 939 Ultra Sidekick .22 LR Revolver — 6-Inch Vent-Rib Target Barrel, Nine-Shot DA/SA, Blued Finish
The Model 939 Ultra Sidekick represents Harrington & Richardson’s top-tier rimfire target revolver line. Built in Gardner, Massachusetts, this nine-shot .22 LR features a heavy, flat-sided 6-inch barrel capped with a full-length ventilated rib and adjustable target sights. High-polish blued steel and diamond-checkered walnut target grips complete a package that was discontinued in the early 1980s, making well-preserved examples like this one desirable to shooters and collectors alike.

What’s Included
- H&R Model 939 Ultra Sidekick revolver
This Ultra Sidekick is built on a full-size carbon-steel frame finished in a deep, high-polish blue that reflects H&R’s premium production standards. The exposed hammer and DA/SA trigger system give the shooter flexibility for slow, deliberate single-action fire or rapid double-action strings.
The 6-inch heavy barrel is both flat-sided and topped with a ventilated rib, adding weight out front for steadier off-hand aim while aiding heat dissipation. A ramped blade front sight pairs with a micrometer-style square-notch rear sight, both fully adjustable to dial in point of impact with any .22 LR load.
H&R fitted this revolver with finely diamond-checkered walnut target stocks that fill the hand and help manage follow-up shots from the nine-shot fluted swing-out cylinder. A star extractor quickly clears spent cases, keeping range sessions smooth and efficient.
The letter-prefix “AM” serial range dates production to the later years of the model’s run, shortly before H&R ceased operations in 1986. As a discontinued line, the Ultra Sidekick offers shooters a blend of classic American craftsmanship and practical, affordable target performance.
