The heart of the Echelon is its Modular Central Operating Group—a stainless-steel serialized chassis that can be removed and installed in different grip modules, allowing future size or color changes without another transfer.
Springfield’s Variable Interface System optics cut is milled directly into the slide and accepts more than 30 popular micro red-dot footprints without the need for adapter plates, keeping sights low and secure.
A 4.78-inch hammer-forged barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for suppressors or compensators and paired with a 1:10 RH twist for consistent 9mm accuracy. The compact slide length maintains easy concealment while providing full-size ballistic performance.
Controls are mirrored on both sides. Slide-stop levers are ambidextrous, and the magazine release is reversible, giving left- and right-handed shooters identical manipulation. An aggressive wrap-around stipple and two interchangeable backstraps fine-tune the grip.
Tritium three-dot sights deliver day-night visibility, while front and rear cocking serrations, a flat-faced 5.5-lb trigger with safety blade, and a full Picatinny accessory rail complete a feature set aimed at modern defensive use.
