This FN America SCAR 17S is the legacy configuration with a reciprocating left-side charging handle, chambered in 7.62x51 NATO. It features a monolithic hard-anodized aluminum receiver with a T-marked MIL-STD-1913 top rail, a factory-labeled 16.25-inch cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined, free-floating barrel, and a Flat Dark Earth polymer stock that folds, telescopes, and includes an adjustable cheekpiece. It comes with both 20- and 10-round steel SCAR 17 pattern magazines.

Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

The SCAR 17S uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system and includes ambidextrous controls, with an ambidextrous magazine release and manual safety. This example is the pre-NRCH configuration, retaining the reciprocating charging handle on the left side.
The factory-labeled 16.25-inch steel barrel is cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and free-floating, with a 1:12 RH twist for 7.62 NATO projectiles. The muzzle is threaded 5/8x24 and fitted with a multi-port brake/flash hider.
The monolithic hard-anodized aluminum receiver provides a T-marked, full-length MIL-STD-1913 top rail and accessory rails at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. The handguard features oval cooling slots. Folding iron sights are included, with a front sight integrated into the gas block and a rear sight with a windage drum.
The Flat Dark Earth polymer stock folds to the side and telescopes for length-of-pull adjustment with numbered positions, and it includes an adjustable cheekpiece. Capacity is 20+1, and the rifle is made in the USA.
