The CMR30 pairs a 16 in steel barrel with a straight blowback action for reliable .22 WMR performance. The barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and capped with a knurled thread protector, and uses a 1:14 RH twist.
Controls and handling are designed to be intuitive and ambidextrous. Dual non-reciprocating forward charging handles and an ambidextrous safety make operation accessible from either side. The telescoping, multi-position dual-rod stock adjusts quickly and locks into place for a compact or extended length of pull.
Construction balances durability and weight. The receiver is aluminum with a black hard-coat anodized finish, the handguard is aluminum, and the frame is glass-reinforced nylon (Zytel) in black. A polymer pistol grip with square texturing provides a secure hold, while the stock uses aluminum rods with a nylon buttplate.
A full-length top Picatinny rail and a bottom rail offer ample mounting space. Folding polymer flip-up front and rear sights come installed, so the carbine is ready for immediate use. Unloaded weight is approximately 3.8 lb, with an overall length of about 22.5 in collapsed and 29.9 in extended.
Capacity is 30+1, and the carbine shares magazines with the Kel-Tec PMR-30. This example includes two 30-round magazines to get you started.
